Arsenal have hired a physiotherapist from outside their medical staff to review the number of injuries that are having an impact on their bid to win the Premier League and Champions League.
According to the Telegraph, Spanish physio Joaquín Acedo has been brought in to lead the investigation into the Gunners injury woes this season.
It is understood that Acedo is a friend of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and has been a regular presence around the squad in recent months.
It is also believed that there is tension on the red half of North London that has been caused by the number of times the team has been without key players over the course of the season.
Of Arsenal’s 22 outfielders, only Martín Zubimendi and Myles Lewis-Skelly have avoided injury this season while key players such as Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka, have had considerable spells on the sideline.
Even ahead of another crucial weekend, there are concerns about player availability for their clash with Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, where Arsenal could go six points clear of Manchester City, who will have played two fewer matches in the race for the title as both Havertz and Timber have been ruled out while Odegaard is a doubt.
