Real Madrid blew their chance to move within a point of LaLiga leaders Barcelona as they crashed to a shock 1-0 home defeat against Getafe.
Martin Satriano fired a brilliant volley past Thibaut Courtois six minutes before half-time to consign the hosts to their second straight league loss.
The results comes after Real had confirmed before kick-off that star man Kylian Mbappe will face a period on the sidelines with a knee injury.
Vinicius Jr came close to breaking the deadlock midway through the first period, while defender Antonio Rudiger also directed a header inches wide.
Los Blancos had Franco Mastantuono sent off for abusive language in stoppage time, while Getafe's Adrian Liso was also dismissed after receiving a second yellow card for time-wasting.
In Serie A, Jens Odgaard's spectacular last-minute strike handed Bologna a 1-0 win at Pisa, who had peppered Lukasz Skorupski's goal without success.
Udinese snapped a three-match losing streak as they eased to a 3-0 victory over Fiorentina with goals from Christian Kabasele, Keinan Davis and Adam Buksa.
