After yesterday's draw in Brussels, Ireland's Nations League campaign fixtures have this morning been revealed.

The Boys in Green were drawn in the same pool as Kosovo, Austria and, of course, Israel in Group B3.

First up is an away trip to Kosovo on Thursday, September 24 ahead of a second away assignment in the double-header against Israel on Sunday, September 27.

Ireland will host Austria at the Aviva Stadium on October 1 before Israel are then scheduled to line out in Dublin on Sunday, October 4.

Heimir Hallgrimsson will then prepare his side for a trip to Austria on Saturday, 14 November and a home tie against Kosovo on Tuesday, 17 November to finish the campaign.

Every game is slated for a 7.45pm Irish time kick-off.

After the draw, the FAI were quick to confirm that the national team will fulfil their fixture with Israel.

"The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) confirms that the Ireland Men’s National Team will fulfil their 2026 UEFA Nations League fixtures against Israel after being drawn together in Group B3.

"In 2025, a motion was proposed by members of the FAI General Assembly to vote on issuing a formal request to the UEFA Executive Committee for the immediate suspension of the Israel Football Association from UEFA competitions for a breach of UEFA statutes. Members then voted in favour to submit the motion to UEFA, which the Association did in November 2025.

"While consultation has taken place with UEFA officials, the Association does recognise that UEFA regulations outline that if an association refuses to play a match then that fixture will be forfeited and further disciplinary measures may follow – including potential disqualification from the competition."

Ireland manager Hallgrímsson, meanwhile, said he will respect any individual player’s decision not to face Israel on a point of principle.

Asked if he had an issue with any individual boycotting the game, he was philosophical.

“It’s obviously every player's decision to play for the national team or not,” he outlined.

“So it's going to be for whatever reason that is. It's every player's decision if they want to play for the national team or not.”
