Ireland international Johnny Kenny has joined English League One side Bolton on loan from Celtic for the remainder of the season. Bolton are currently third in the league.Ā
āI knew thereād been an interest and Bolton reached out to me a lot during the summer, but I wanted to give Celtic a crack I think I have in the last six months. But I'm happy to be here now,ā said the Sligo man.Ā
āI've gained a lot of experience playing at Celtic in front of an amazing crowd every week and I just want to bring those experiences here now and hopefully help the club going forward.
āI want to bring in that winning mentality to the squad because if we win as much as possible, we'll get to where we want to be and that's ultimately the aim. I hope to bring goals, work-rate and just help the team all round and I think if I can bring the level I can bring, we can get to where we want to.
āI look forward to the next few months. The club is in a brilliant position and we want to go and get promoted - that's the aim. Promotion would be amazing, to bring this club back one division closer to where it should be and I hope I can help the club do that.ā
Austria forward Junior Adamu has set his sights on goals and plenty of silverware after joining Celtic on loan.
The 24-year-old has joined Martin OāNeillās side from Freiburg, where he has only netted three Bundesliga goals in two and a half seasons.
He previously scored 23 goals in 84 appearances in his formative years with RB Salzburg and he believes his move to Scotland can help him add to his nine Austria caps ahead of the World Cup.
The Hoops have also negotiated an option to buy Adamu, who told Celtic TV: āIām very excited to be here and I canāt wait to get started.
āI want to give my best for this club and try to win the title, also the cup, and Europa League, to score a lot of goals, and help the team. I canāt wait.
āI have a good feeling. Iāve spoken with the manager and heās given me good motivation, and I trust him, heās given me that trust. Heās told me how the system is and I feel the connection is really strong.
āIām dangerous in the box and hungry for goals. Thatās what the manager sees in me and I want to show that on the pitch.
āIām a striker who likes to go deep, be good against the ball, and try to be good in the box and score a lot of goals.ā
Jørgen Strand Larsen has joined Crystal Palace from Wolves in a club-record £48m deal. The 25-year-old Norway international has signed a four-and-a-half year contract.
That random Arsenal signing appears to be Evan Mooney, of St Mirren, 18, who has made 14 Scottish Premiership appearances for the Love Street outfit. Young Scots run freeā¦well, Ā£265k is reported to be the fee. Letās see if that one comes off.
Stoke City teenager Jaden Dixon is set to join Arsenal in a deal worth Ā£3.2m plus add-ons, according to Fabrizio Romano. The last Dixon the Gunners signed from Stoke turned out to be quite good, and so did Steve Bould. Letās see.
Rangers boss Danny Rohl hopes to finalise a deal for Hansa Rostock forward Ryan Naderi, who has reportedly arrived in the UK, but it remains to seen if the German club will sanction the sale this month or hold on to their top scorer until the summer. Anthony Brown
Crystal Palace are still working hard to get one or two new signings over the line before the deadline but there are major doubts over whether Jean-Philippe Mateta will now depart after his move to Milan collapsed because the France striker failed a medical. Juventus have also shown an interest in a loan but time is running out for the 28-year-old to find a new club, with some reports suggesting he may need surgery on a knee injury that was picked up in the medical and has been carefully managed by Paace over recent months.
As things stand, Jorgen Strand Larsen is still expected to join from Wolves for Ā£48m even if Mateta stays at Selhurst Park having already completed his medical, while Palace have made an improved bid for Dwight McNeil that they hope will be accepted by Everton. Their search for a centre back to replace Marc Guehi has yet to come to fruition despite being linked to a number of names including Ruben Kluivert of Lyon, West Hamās Max Kilman and Josh Acheampong of Chelsea.
Celtic have rejected a £25million bid for Arne Engels from Nottingham Forest, the Press Association understands.
After having offers in the region of £14m and £17m thrown out by the Scottish champions, it emerged on Monday afternoon that Forest had returned with a third bid of £25m for the 22-year-old Belgium midfielder.
However, the Hoops have turned down the opportunity to make a significant profit on a player they bought for £11m from Augsburg in August 2024. It remains to be seen if Forest will come back with an improved offer.
The Hammers had been looking to sign the Cork native in their bid to avoid relegation.
But speaking on deadline day, Hull boss Sergej Jakirovic said he believes Egan will stay at the club, who are currently third in the Championship, five points behind both Coventry in first and Middlesbrough in second.
"Yes, he must train," said Jakirovic.
"What I know so far, there are no bids yet from these clubs, so I'm calm. I think he will stay with us, but if something will come, the player will decide, of course, because if you want to go, what can I do?
"I want him to stay, of course, so because of this, I'm avoiding him," the Croatian joked. "I will speak with him now, but nothing has come yet."
Elsewhere Andy Moran, Johnny Kenny and Festy Ebosele have been linked with moves to Preston, Bolton and Wrexham respectively before the window closes.
Spurs will beat Arsenal to the loan signing of Hearts teenager James Wilson. Option to buy at end of season is part of the deal. As with Arsenal, expected to spend the coming months in Spursā U21 squad.
Seani Maguire has agreed a one-year extension to his contract with Cork City. The striker had two years remaining on the deal signed when he rejoined the club in July 2024 after eight seasons in the UK.

Mateta to Milan seems to be off on doctorās advice ā he failed his medical ā but Juventus might be interested, though they're also interested in Randal Kolo Muani.
Can confirm James Scanlon is being loaned to Swindon Town and his fellow Manchester United academy product James Devaney, who also represents the Republic of Ireland U19s, is joining St. Mirren, too, on a temporary basis.
Meanwhile Sunderland to sign Nilson Angulo from Anderlecht for Ā£15m up front and potentially Ā£2.5m more in add-ons and Kalvin Phillips is set to join Sheffield United on loan from Manchester City.Ā
āThere has been plenty of uncertainty over whether West Ham will be able to convince Axel Disasi to join on loan. Iām told this deal is now moving in the right direction, with the Chelsea defender expected to undergo a medical this afternoon.ā
Celtic are aiming to complete several deadline-day deals but they could face a major decision the other way amid interest in Arne Engels.
Manager Martin O'Neill confirmed on Sunday deals to sign Freiburg forward Junior Adamu and Lorient winger Joel Mvuka were at an advanced stage and more activity could follow with a central defender on the shopping list.
O'Neill had no knowledge of a reported £14million bid from Nottingham Forest for midfielder Engels, who started in Sunday's 2-0 win over Falkirk. But it was claimed on Monday morning Forest had a second bid of more than £17m rejected.

Jamie Carragher has his say on Liverpool's verbal agreement over the signing of JĆ©rĆ©my Jacquet, who won't join until the summer āļø pic.twitter.com/1Bw4R1ucqJ
O'Neill said after the game: "Honestly, I am telling you, I didn't know anything about it. If they've done it, then they must have done it during the game.
"And I would want it rebuffed. Unless it was £100m. And then I think the board would step in there."
Centre-back Stephen Welsh came off the bench against Falkirk but O'Neill confirmed he could still return to Motherwell on Monday after being recalled from a season-long loan in mid-January.
O'Neill said: "Welshy has done very, very well at Motherwell, and in an ideal world, he would probably want to go back. And I don't really want to stop him when he's on a really good run there at this minute. So that might depend on us getting someone else in as cover."
Elsewhere in the William Hill Premiership, Rangers head coach Danny Rohl is hoping for another addition. "The club will make the final decision, what is on, what is not on," he said after a goalless draw at Hibernian.
Liverpool have beaten Chelsea in the race to sign Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet after agreeing a fee of £55million plus add-ons, the Press Association understands.
The 20-year-old will remain at the Ligue 1 side for the rest of the season before moving to Anfield in the summer.
It comes after the Blues held talks in January and had been told that a fee and personal terms for the player would not be an issue.
However, PA understands the situation changed following speculation Mamadou Sarr is set to return to Chelsea from his loan at Strasbourg.
The club's determination to keep academy graduate Josh Acheampong as well as the possibility of Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate departing Anfield in the summer when his contract expires are also understood to have been factors in Jacquet's decision.
The France under-21 international has has played for Rennes 18 times this season and his impressive displays since graduating from the club's academy have seen him linked with a host of European clubs.
The uncertain future of Konate, who has only months to run on his current deal and is yet to agree an extension, leaves open a route into the starting XI that the France under-21 international felt could be barred next season at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano who is delaying agreeing a new deal at the Allianz Arena.
Chelsea had led the race to bring Jacquet to the Premier League. A central defensive player is a priority in the transfer market, particularly with Levi Colwill out for what is likely to be the whole season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Jacquet was a long-term target and there was optimism that a deal could be done in January to bolster Liam Rosenior's options in the immediate term whilst keeping the club's broader recruitment plans on track.
His decision to join Liverpool is a blow, particularly after the squad's defensive depth was shown to be lacking during a dreadful first half against West Ham on Saturday.
The club are unwilling to bring in emergency cover for Colwill and will only sanction deals for players that fit their long-term plans.
Rosenior confirmed last week that academy graduate Acheampong, who can play both right-back and central defence, is a part of his plans and will not be sold.
PA understands that no deal is currently in place for Sarr, the 20-year-old defender who was part of Senegal's triumphant Africa Cup of Nations side, to return from Strasbourg where he is on loan.
Aaron Anselmino however is set to go on loan to the Ligue 1 side before Monday's 7pm deadline.

Katie McCabe is likely to leave Arsenal when her contract expires this summer, with no new deal on the table after what sources have described as āvery respectful discussionsā about her future.
Arsenal regard McCabe as a club legend, the left-back having been there for just over 10 years and helped them become world and European champions, but they plan to refresh this summer with younger players.
McCabe, 30, wants to continue starting routinely at the top level, and carry on winning trophies. Arsenal are understood to be targeting a summer move for the Barcelona and Spain full-back Ona Batlle, as first reported by the Athletic.
Batlle is almost four years younger than McCabe and sources have indicated that talks are progressing well with a view to her signing a pre-contract agreement. She was part of the Barcelona side that reached last yearās Champions League final against Arsenal in Lisbon.
McCabe is a fan favourite at Arsenal and her exit would be a highly emotional for her and the club. Neither Arsenal nor the playerās representatives wished to comment on her future.
The Republic of Ireland international helped Arsenal win the Womenās Super League in 2019 and has been a core part of their team for much of the modern, professional era, winning an FA Cup in 2016 and three League Cups, before last seasonās Champions League triumph and Sundayās victory in the inaugural Champions Cup. McCabe played the game as Arsenal won 3-2 against Corinthians in extra time.
McCabe has been voted Arsenalās player of the season twice, in 2021 and 2023, and played in every match of their victorious Champions League run.
The prospect of one of the worldās best left-backs being available on a free has not gone unnoticed by an extensive list of clubs and there are understood to be WSL and American NWSL sides interested.
