ITV's Laura Woods collapsed on live on air while presenting coverage of the England women's clash with Ghana at St Mary's Stadium on Tuesday night.

Cameras quickly diverted away from 38-year-old Woods - who was hosting alongside Ian Wright and Anita Asante on ITV4 during the Lionesses' match - and the presenter was taken off-screen and replaced by Katie Shanahan, who she had been 'taken ill'.

“As you have probably noticed we don’t have the wonderful Laura Woods because she’s just been taken ill," Shanahan said during the build-up to the clash. "But she’s in very good hands so I’m stepping in at late notice."

Wood's fiancé Adam Collard took to social media to issue an update on Woods in the aftermath, saying: “Laura is all ok and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages.”
