Cian Murphy has become the latest former Cork City player to reunite with manager Colin Healy at Kerry FC during this off-season.

Following in the footsteps of Jonas Häkkinen, Murphy has also decided to swap Cobh Ramblers for the Kingdom ahead of the 2026 campaign on a multi-year deal.

Murphy, who won two First Division titles with City and made 40 appearances for Ramblers during his only season at the club, scoring 10 goals in the process, admits he is excited to link up again with his former boss.

“I’m delighted to have signed for Kerry FC,” the forward told the club’s official website.

“Once the phone call came in from Colin and he explained the plans for the team going forward, I knew this would be the right move for me.

“I can’t wait to play in front of the Kerry fans in Mounthawk Park and hopefully score plenty of goals as well.”

Colin Healy added: “We are delighted to have Cian in Mounthawk Park for the new season on a multi-year deal.

“He has proven how strong a player he is at this level over the last number of seasons, and his numbers speak for themselves.

“Cian is a great guy on and off the pitch and will add a huge amount of experience to our group going forward.

“I’m looking forward to seeing him out on the field in pre-season and getting going once the new term kicks off.”
