Johnny Kenny and Jamie McGrath have been called into the Republic of Ireland squad ahead of their upcoming Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Portugal and Hungary.

Evan Ferguson has been ruled out of the game against Portugal on Thursday due to injury and will remain at this club AS Roma to continue rehabiliation with the hope of being available for the second game against Hungary on Sunday.

Celtic striker Kenny has been called in to replace Ferguson.

Bristol City midfielder Mark Sykes has been ruled out of both clashes due to injury with Hibernian midfield McGrath called in as his replacement.

Heimir Hallgrisson's squad train at the FAI National Training Centre on Tuesday as they step up their preparations for the sold-out game against Portugal on Thursday November 13 at the Aviva Stadium before travelling to Budapest to take on Hungary on Sunday November 16.
