Cian Murphy, Barry Coffey, and John O’Donovan were all on target as Cobh Ramblers came from behind to defeat Bray Wanderers 3-1 at St Colman’s Park.
This followed a fanatic opening that saw Billy O’Neill hit the back of the net for the visitors in just the second minute.
The Republic of Ireland underage international made that moment happen by latching onto a ball over the top from Justin Ferizaj and slotting in after getting passed Cian Coleman.
Ramblers quickly responded with Murphy scoring on the volley in the fifth minute at the Liam McMahon Stand.
The home side got their second before the break with Murphy setting Coffey up for a straight forward finish.
Bray tried to reinvent themselves after the restart with a triple substitution that involved Paul Murphy, Cian Kurtis, and Rhys Knight all coming on in the 58th minute.
Cobh held firm, with a defence that was marshalled by Jonas Hakkinen playing alongside Coleman.
O’Donovan was brought off the bench in the 79th minute and he marked his introduction by getting his second goal of the season.
