SSE Airtricity First Division: Cobh Ramblers 3 (McGlade 15', 48', Coffey 44' (P)) Treaty United 0

Brace from Dylan McGlade and one from Barry Coffey saw Cobh Ramblers defeat Treaty United 3-0 at St Colman’s Park.

The result means that Mick McDermott and his players stay six points behind Dundalk, following their victory over Bray Wanderers.

The Ramblers made light work of their Munster rivals, beginning with McGlade stabbing in a cross at the back post in the 14th minute.

Patrick Ferry responded for Treaty and the Donegal native narrowly missed the target.

Cobh then created two quick opportunities in a matter of seconds from a corner and Cian Coleman and Jonas Hakkinen saw close range efforts blocked down.

The Ramblers followed up by winning a free-kick and the referee ruled that Rhys Gourdie was impeded as he got to the ball. A penalty was awarded and Coffey made no mistake in the dying seconds of the half.

Cobh wrapped things up with a Gourdie cross going to McGlade, and the winger hit the back of the net with a shot that Matthew Boylan had no chance of getting to 49th minute.

Samuel Bellis came on late-on for the home side and was unlucky not to score with a three attempts at the Liam McMahon Stand.
