Carabao Cup third round draw: Liverpool to face Southampton, Port Vale to host Arsenal

Liverpool will take on Southampton in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Elsewhere Port Vale will face Arsenal while Grimsby Town's reward for knocking out Manchester United in the second round is a trip to Sheffield Wednesday.

The draw took place on Wednesday night, shortly after Grimsby's dramatic shoot-out victory over United, which saw Cork native Jaze Kabia net twice from the spot.
