Evan Ferguson is set to join Roma on loan with option to buy
ITALIAN JOB: Evan Ferguson is set to join Roma on loan.
Evan Ferguson is set to join Roma on loan, according to reports.
The Republic of Ireland striker will be looking to kick start his career after a difficult spell with Brighton & Hove Albion, and an unscessful loan spell at West Ham United last season.
The Bettystown native made just eight Premier League appearances for the Hammers since joining in January and linking up with former manager Graham Potter, but he would just play 14 minutes in their last eight games.
And now Ferguson, who has been linked with a move to Celtic, Everton, and Atalanta, looks set for another loan spell but this time in Italy where he will work under the recently appointed Gian Piero Gasperini.
It is believed that following lengthy talks, the clubs have agreed a loan deal with a €40m buy option included for the 20-year-old, who has three years left on his Brighton contract.
