Saoirse Noonan has earned a call-up to the Ireland WNT squad for the upcoming double header with Greece.Â
The Cork-born Celtic forward was not part of Carla Ward's first selection for the opening two Nations League games with Turkey and Slovenia.Â
Experienced defender Chloe Mustaki is included, like Noonan, for the first time since the 2023-24 UEFA Nations League campaign.
Louise Quinn, Tara O’Hanlon, Megan Connolly, Jamie Finn, Lily Agg and Jess Ziu are all unavailable for selection.Â
New boss Ward will bring her squad to Heraklion for the first game on Friday, April 4th ahead of hosting the same opponent in Tallaght Stadium on Tuesday, April 8th.
These will be the third and fourth games in Group 2 in League B as Ireland look to pick up maximum points following a loss away to Slovenia and a home win over Türkiye.
Shelbourne midfielder Aoibheann Clancy is rewarded for an impressive start to the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division season. The Limerick native earned her only WNT appearance in November 2022.
