A well taken Dylan Moriarty hat trick got UL off to the perfect start in their bid for a historic three in a row Crowley Cup wins when the third Irish Universities three-day tournament of the season got under way in fine spring weather at Ulster University Coleraine.

The Limerick university, winners in the past two seasons, eased past UU Magee, scoring six goals without reply. The Derry outfit were missing three regulars and they had no answer to their impressive opponents who were clinical in front of goal.
