Ruaidhrí Higgins’s vow to battle on his Derry City job after their season collapsed on the run-in hasn’t come to pass after a decision was made to part ways.

Silverware was the target when he assumed control in April 2021, something facilitated by funds from billionaire Chairman Philip O’Doherty’s war chest but they failed to build on their FAI Cup success the following year.
