Interim England boss Lee Carsley is yet to speak with incoming permanent head coach Thomas Tuchel, revealing the pair have only exchanged text messages.

Tuchel was appointed as Gareth Southgate’s successor last month but does not begin work until January 1, with Carsley continuing in his caretaker role.
