Much navel-gazing on the Arsenal coach home as they discussed how to learn from their mistakes and get their season back on track after their first defeat. Losing this match was not so much the problem as the cause - the first half sending off of William Saliba. Without their best defender and already missing lead attacking forces Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka to injury before kick-off they still could and probably should have won. All that taken into account they still had only themselves to blame.
