John Stones ‘100%’ ready to take Rodri’s midfield spot in Manchester City team

John Stones is “100%” ready to replace Rodri as Manchester City’s holding midfielder, with the defender stating he loves playing in the role.

With the 28-year-old out until next season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Pep Guardiola has stated he will find different solutions to replace the Spaniard who is considered one of the world’s finest No 6s. In the 1-1 league draw at Newcastle United on Saturday, the manager selected the double-pivot of Mateo Kovacic and Rico Lewis to do so.
