Shels back in women's title race as finish line nears

Just three points separate leaders Athlone Town and second placed Shelbourne.

Shelbourne can go level with Athlone Town next Saturday in the women’s national league after a weekend in which the Midlanders missed out on clinching a first title.

After Shels beat third-placed Galway United 1-0 at Eamonn Deacy Park earlier in the day, Town couldn’t seal the deal against Shamrock Rovers.
