Athlone have first women's league title in sights

A draw in that clash between the second and third placed teams will allow Athlone to secure the crown with two games to spare.

After lifting their first Women’s FAI Cup last year, Athlone Town could be 90 minutes away from their maiden league crown.

Former Dundalk striker Ciarán Kilduff assumed control in 2023 from Tommy Hewitt and steered them to Cup success against Shelbourne.
