Festy Ebosele has been called into the Republic of Ireland squad in place of the injured Seamus Coleman for Tuesday night's crunch UEFA Nations League clash against Greece at the Aviva Stadium

The FAI have confirmed that Coleman has returned to Everton after suffering a foot injury in the second-half of Ireland's 2-0 loss to England on Saturday.

The Ireland captain was replaced by clubmate Jake O'Brien after 57 minutes of their defeat to the Three Lions and Heimir Hallgrimsson has called up Ebosele in his place in the panel.

The 22-year-old right-back, who is currently on-loan at English Championship side Watford from Serie A's Udinese, currently has three caps for the Ireland seniors, the first of which came against France in their 2-0 Euro 2024 qualifier loss at the Parc des Princes last September.
