Ireland’s latest striker Tom Cannon is among that growing cohort of players John O’Shea insists must consider the international scene in their club decision-making.

Last August, the 21-year-old left his boyhood club Everton and Premier League behind to join Leicester City for £7m and bounced straight back up with his promoted side.
