Rasmus Hojlund’s golden scoring streak has been disrupted by a muscle injury that’ll sideline the Manchester United striker for two to three weeks.

Erik ten Hag confirmed the Danish forward will miss tomorrow’s Premier League game against Fulham in the FA Cup fifth-round tie at Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

After a slow start to his Old Trafford career – failing to score in his first 14 Premier League games - United's £72m summer capture netted for the sixth successive league game in Sunday's 2-1 win at Luton Town.

"It is a small injury, two or three weeks. It is a risk in high intensity training," Ten Hag said on Friday.

"It's not a big injury but he has to wait now."

United also have crucial games looking against local rivals Manchester City and Everton over the coming fortnight.

Hojlund has scored 13 goals in 30 appearances for United in all competitions since joining from Serie A side Atalanta on a five-year deal.

United also lost left-back Luke Shaw to injury earlier in the week that could rule him out for the remainder of the season.
