Birmingham City have released a statement this morning to say that manager Tony Mowbray will be stepping aside from on site management of the club temporarily to receive medical treatment.

Mowbray will be away for a period of six to eight weeks with assistant manager Mark Venus to take temporary responsibility for the team with immediate effect.
