Gus Poyet has not been approached about the Ireland job but hasn’t ruled out discussions with the FAI if their search extends beyond his Greece contract expiration in late March.

The Uruguayan masterminded home and away wins over Ireland in the Euro qualifiers to apply the last rites to Stephen Kenny’s reign, touting himself as a successor in the process.
