Cathal Heffernan played a decisive role as his Newcastle United under-19s side toppled AC Milan in the final group-stage encounter of the UEFA Youth League.
Having lost the opposite fixture four-nil to their Italian counterparts, Cork native Heffernan - who was captaining the side - scored Newcastle's second of the afternoon as the Toon youngsters ended their European journey on a high with a 3-1 win.
Having originally joined AC Milan from Cork City, the center-back's performances caught the eye of the Premier League outfit, leading to his transfer in the summer.
Heffernan's father, Olympic medallist Rob, couldn't hide his excitement, posting a video of Cathal's effort to his page.
