The Republic of Ireland made it a perfect six wins out of six in the UEFA Nations League when they defeated Northern Ireland on Tuesday night but unfortunately for Kyra Carusa, she just missed out on her own similarly exemplary record.

Instead, the San Diego Wave striker had to settle for scoring just the five goals across those six victories, but it is a record she would have taken before Ireland’s promotion winning campaign under Eileen Gleeson began.
