Sport Ireland have confirmed that the funding to the FAI resumed today in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the FAI and the Government. The funding was suspended in the after issues around payments made to the FAI's chief executive Jonathan Hill.

Benefit in kind payments were made to Hill contrary to the MOU between the FAI and the government with payments made in lieu of holiday pay.
