Reigning Munster Senior Cup champions Cobh Ramblers have been drawn to face fellow Leeside outfit College Corinthians in the third-round of the competition.

Should Cobh - who defeated Cork City in August to retain the cup - navigate their way past the Corinthians challenge, a clash with fellow League of Ireland side Kerry FC or Munster Senior League club Avondale United awaits them in the quarter-final.

2021/22 and 2022/23 runners-up Cork City will play either Ballinhassig or Wilton United in the third-round. A win would then see them take on the winner of the third-round tie between Douglas Hall and their Premier Division play-off opponents, Waterford.

Elsewhere, Treaty United have been drawn to face Carrigaline United, Ringmahon Rangers will take on Fermoy, Midleton face Castleview and the victor of Rockmount v Macroom will travel to Ballyvolane for a third-round matchup with Leeds.

Third-round draw:

Cork City v Ballinhassig/Wilton United

Carrigaline United v Treaty United

Kerry v Avondale United

Ringmahon Rangers v Fermoy

Waterford v Douglas Hall

Cobh Ramblers v College Corinthians

*Third-round ties to be played before week ending 14th January 2024
