Playing under three Ireland internationals chiselled Adam McDonnell into the combative midfielder Bohs may turn to in Keith Buckley’s absence for Sunday’s FAI Cup final.

The 26-year-old was recruited in 2014 by Mick McCarthy to Ipswich Town from Shelbourne as part of a double-signing with current teammate Dylan Connolly.
