The League of Ireland have confirmed that tonight's Premier Division clashes between UCD and Cork City, as well as Shamrock Rovers v Drogheda United have been postponed.

The pitches at the UCD Bowl and Tallaght Stadium underwent inspections this afternoon and the decision was then made to call off both matches due to their condition as well as the ongoing Orange Weather Warning issued by Met Eireann.

Elsewhere, the first division match involving Bray Wanderers and Finn Harps will go ahead as planned as the Carlisle Ground passed its pitch inspection.

League officials have now confirmed details of the rearranged fixtures:

  • Shamrock Rovers v Drogheda United at Tallaght Stadium, originally scheduled for Friday, 20 October, at 8pm, will now be played on Sunday, 22 October, at 8pm.
  • UCD v Cork City at the UCD Bowl, originally scheduled for Friday, 20 October at 7.45pm, will now be played on Sunday, 22 October, at 3pm.
  • Cork City v Shamrock Rovers at Turner’s Cross, originally scheduled for Monday, 23 October, at 7.30pm, will now be played on Monday, 30 October, with the kick-off time to be confirmed in due course.
