Brighton boss Graham Potter has urged striker Aaron Connolly to be “nicer” to himself as he attempts to make his way in the Premier League and on the international stage.

The 20-year-old frontman passed up a glorious opportunity to fire his side ahead against champions Liverpool last weekend having endured a frustrating spell with Ireland on and off the pitch in recent months.
