St Mirren defender Conor McCarthy will be able to draw upon a healthy cup pedigree from back home in Cork as he prepares to face Aberdeen in the William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-finals.

The 21-year-old centre-back enjoyed more than his fair share of cup success with Cork City before he moved to the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership club in January.
