Champions League wrap: Arsenal top Group A while Besiktas are brought to tears by missing out

Besiktas lost two players and six goals in the snow at Dynamo Kiev.

Napoli won 2-1 at Benfica on Tuesday night to qualify for the Champions League last 16 as Group B winners, with the Portuguese side also going through thanks to Besiktas being thrashed at Dynamo Kiev.

Three teams - Napoli, Benfica and Besiktas - had headed into the final round of matches separated by just one point at the top of the pool, and the Italian side's triumph in Portugal assured their progress. Second-half goals from Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens proved decisive, with Raul Jimenez's 88th-minute strike the hosts' only reply.
