Wayne Rooney ended a difficult week among Manchester United's substitutes for the Premier League clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.

The 31-year-old has been mired in controversy following pictures of last weekend's late-night antics when away with England, but returned from a minor knee injury to be involved today.
