Newcastle continue to march on at top of Championship

Newcastle continued their dominance of the Sky Bet Championship with a 2-1 victory at home to Cardiff to extend their winning run to seven matches.

The Magpies were ahead inside three minutes thanks to Christian Atsu's goal following good work from Aleksandar Mitrovic, before Yoan Gouffran doubled the lead just before half-time.
