Dundalk’s double ambitions remain on course

Dundalk remain on-course for another League and Cup double.

Stephen Kenny's side came from behind to beat their hosts Derry City 2-1 in tonight's FAI Cup semi-final replay.

Ronan Curtis gave the Candystripes an early lead, but Dundalk battled-back with a penalty from Ciaran Kilduff.

A goal from Ronan Finn midway through the second-half secured a place in this season's Cup final where they will face Cork City on November 6.

There were also two games tonight in the Airtricity League.

It finished scoreless between Sligo Rovers and Finn Harps in their rescheduled Premier Division clash at The Showgrounds.

But Limerick continue to surge clear at the top of the First Division after a 1-0 win over Athlone Town at the Markets Field.
