Portugal confident ahead of final: ‘We believe in ourselves; we have proved we are worthy’

Portugal training hard today ahead of the final of Euro 2016 on Sunday.

Fernando Santos now knows his side will face France in Paris on Saturday, following the hosts 2-0 win over Germany.

Portugal have faced some criticism for their style of play throughout the tournament. Despite this midfielder Joao Mario says his team are 'worthy' of a place in the final.

"We always believe in ourselves, the coach has also always had this confidence and spirit,” he said.

“There will always be criticism, in Portugal as well, but we believe in ourselves and we have proved that we are worthy of this final."
