Nobody could quite believe Igor Akinfeev's save against England

Russia's goalkeeper madee a save worthy of any tournament.

Russia were living on the edge in their Euro 2016 game against England tonight.

And nothing could illustrate that more than what happened about 70 minutes into their game.

Wayne Rooney was on the edge of the Russian box when the ball came to him and he smashed it towards the Russian net.

However, rather than see the back of the Russian goal bulging, their goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev miraculously pushed it onto the crossbar.

Only for it to deflect into the path of Liverpool's Adam Lallana to the left of the penalty box, who struck it onto the post.
