A Sunday Times report alleged a British doctor claimed to have treated more than 150 sportsmen and women - including Premier League footballers,Tour de France cyclists, tennis players and a boxer - with banned substances including EPO, human growth hormone and steroids.
Doyle played in the Premier League with Reading, Wolves and Crystal Palace.
He said on Twitter that during six seasons playing in the League he had never been offered Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs) or heard of other players taking them. He added cheekily: “No doubt some would say plenty times I could've done with them”.
Fans were interested in discussing the issue, with some claiming the Irish player was being naive.
