Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers are joint top of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division after tonight's games.

Dundalk survived a late scare when Ciaran Kilduff scored an 83rd minute winner to help his side come away with a 2-1 victory at Wexford Youths.

Rovers were 1-0 winners over Finn Harps thanks to a 73rd minute goal from Gary McCabe.

The performance of the night was from Cork City, who claimed a crushing 6-0 win over Longford Town tonight at Turner's Cross.

A Steven Beattie hat-trick helped the Leesiders to a resounding win with Danny Morrissey scoring two and Sean Maguire getting the other.

In the other big game St Pat's scored a 3-0 success over Bohemians in their Dublin derby at Richmond Park.

Strikes from Mark Timlin, Christy Fagan and Billy Dennehy gave St Pat's the points.

Derry City were also victorious, netting a 3-0 win over their hosts Bray Wanderers, while Sligo Rovers and Galway United played out 1-1 draw in a western derby.
