Souness shuts down Andy Gray nonsense: ‘I think you’ll find they’re speaking Portuguese’

Poor Andy Gray.

Banished from Sky and thrown into the wilderness of BeIn Sports coverage - the guy has to try and rescue some credibility where he can.

So when he saw an opportunity to impress his audience he took it.

David Luiz was being interviewed in his native tongue after Tuesday's match between PSG and Chelsea, and Gray decided to try his hand at translation.

It was all going well and his fellow panellists seemed reasonably impressed, until he finished by saying he was using his “O Level French”.

Which was when Graeme Souness pointed out that Brazilian Luiz and his interviewer were in fact speaking Portuguese.

Oh Andy - morto for you.
