Republic of Ireland take on Slovakia in Dublin in March

Republic of Ireland will take on Slovakia in a friendly at Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, March 29, the FAI has announced.

The game will be the fifth meeting between the teams - having met four times in UEFA European Championship qualifying.

It caps off an Easter week that also sees Ireland host Switzerland at Aviva Stadium on Friday, March 25.

Slovakia, who are 26th in the FIFA World Rankings, qualified for UEFA EURO 2016 after finishing second in Group C and were paired with England, Wales, and Russia for next summer's finals.

This game is part of Ireland's preparations for EURO 2016 with the Switzerland and Slovakia matches preceding another 'Three' International Friendly at Aviva Stadium in May with the opponents yet to be confirmed.

Ireland discovered last Saturday at a draw in Paris that they would be in Group E at EURO 2016 with Sweden, Belgium, and Italy.

The match will be free to FAI Season Ticket holders.
