Daniel Sturridge still in contention for Liverpool's trip to Manchester City

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has not ruled out Daniel Sturridge for Saturday’s trip to Manchester City – but he insists the striker has to put in more hours on the training ground to prove his long-term fitness.

The 26-year-old has played just 242 minutes across three matches this season after recovering from hip surgery which ruled him out of the final six weeks of the previous campaign.
