Shameful that the great game was marred by the mens teams warming up on the pitch before penos were taken #norespect pic.twitter.com/eRl26rY6L5

In defence of the men’s teams, they were quite rightly more concerned with their own game; and it is only natural they would want to warm up properly.
@KobeDesigns City were warming up while penalties were taking place. People accusing them of lack of respect. Can't see how they're to blame

Given that extra-time and penalties was always a possibility the simplest solution would surely have been to have agreed ahead of time to delaying the second game if extra-time was played in the first.
Teams had less time and space to warm-up on the pitch before FAI cup final due to scheduling. That should never be allowed occur again.

Wexford Youths Women won’t be too concerned as they celebrate their win, but the incident left a bad taste for many fans of the game, and supporters of women in sport in particular.
@itchybollix Dreadful. #Respect towards the women's game !

The #FAI should be ashamed of themselves.
100% agree with Ger. Would 10mins have killed the men's teams warming up? If you need to use the facility under the stand.

FAI Ladies final goes to penalties , men's teams come onto pitch doing their warm up while shoot out takes place . Totally wrong
