Commentator Mike Aherne was in raptures when Limerick defender Shaun Kelly scored an absolute thunderbolt in the first half.

Limerick FC are valiantly fighting against relegation from the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division - and as a result impartiality went out the window for one delighted radio commentator.

Their hopes of survival were given a huge boost at the Market's Field on Monday night, when they won the first match of a two-leg play-off against Finn Harps.

There was a record crowd in attendance on the night and to get an idea of how much it means locally for the team to stay up - just listen to the audio from Limerick's Live 95.
