Van Gaal refuses to blame penalty flops for Man United's cup exit

Wayne Rooney and Co were absolved of blame by Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, as they exited the Capital One Cup at the hands of Middlesbrough last night.

The Dutch manager saw his side miss a hat-trick of penalties in a shoot-out at Old Trafford.
