WATCH: ‘Ghost’ spoof from Italian TV to promote Champions League
There is a week to go before the Champions League group stages get underway, but one Italian TV station has started getting viewers in the mood already.
Realising that, for a football fan, nothing is more romantic than Europe’s premier club competition, Mediaset Premium turned to the classic tear-jerker ‘Ghost’ for inspiration.
In the spoof a beautiful young woman woman is joined by her beau at a potter’s wheel, and he helps her craft a symbol of their amour - a perfect copy of the Champions League trophy.
Kudos to the sound mixer for some excellent work here.

The clip was first released in July, but has gone viral again in recent days as passionate football supporters prepare to show their love for the Champions League.
