Michael Carrick returns to Man Utd with a calf injury

Midfielder Michael Carrick has withdrawn from the England squad for Tuesday night’s Euro 2016 qualifying clash with Switzerland due to a calf injury and returned to Manchester United.

Roy Hodgson’s side are bidding for the three points which would secure top spot in Group E but now must do without Carrick, who was an unused substitute in Saturday’s 6-0 win at San Marino.
