Duff linked to Shamrock Rovers
By Kevin Murphy
Damien Duff has been strongly linked with a move to Shamrock Rovers over the weekend, but the club is declining to comment on the story.
The Irish legend is keen to finish out his career on home soil and the addition of the winger would be a significant boost to the Dublin club.
Duff recently attended a St Patrick’s Athletic game at Richmond Park but he insisted it was part of his training program for an FAI course.
Shamrock Rovers had a scoreless draw with Luxembourg club Progrés Niekerkorn in the Europa League first round last week and manager Pat Fenlon is expected to field questions about Duff at a press briefing this afternoon.
The addition of the two-time premier league winner to the SSE Airtricity League would give the game in this country a real boost .
