Former Irish International Sean O’Driscoll is believed to be right in the mix to be named as Brendan Rodgers’ number two.

A number of media outlets are reporting that O’Driscoll will be named as a replacement for Colin Pascoe who left the club recently.

O’Driscoll was capped three times by Ireland and currently manages the England U19’s team

The 57-year-old comes with plenty of experience having previously managed Nottingham Forest, Doncaster, Bouremouth, Crawley and Bristol City.

The summer overhaul of the coaching staff at Anfield has come about following a disappointing season for Liverpool.

Rodgers is believed to be a strong admirer of the Irishman and has referred to him in the past as “one of the best coaches I have ever come across.
